Although I ran on a strict anti-taxation platform, it has recently (as in the last time I logged in, turned in some quests, and then killed an Evil Bambi for the last 200+ XP I needed to level) come to my attention that I am now skilled enough to own my own steed. As I have done my best to keep gold, silver, and copper in circulation and not hoarding it in my kingly keep, it saddens me to say that there is insufficient funds in the Budget Royal for such a purchase.

I feel it is necessary to own a Regal Pony...or burro, or whatever, in order to inspire fellow Arkenstoners when they see me throughout the lands. It will serve to increase the prestige of our Kingdom and allow me to visit distant parts of the lands in order to meet you, the great Arkenstoners.

In order to raise sufficient funds, I am instituting a voluntary horse tax of 1 copper per citizen. If a mere 1,000 of you respond to this, just by dropping a copper in the mailbox, this dream of mine...of ours...can be a reality.
