When I was playing in Evendim the day or two after the content update, I fell in love with Thief Taker's Bane. Thought it was a great quest that offered a challenge to players of all levels. It took some good strategy to get through it. I've completed that quest at least 10 times now.
But my absolute favorite quest in the entire game is Bloodstones.
Hahaha, only Breen can understand my reasoning there.
What's your favorite quest in the game so far?

shaddap! I'm 0-11 on TTB, though it is kinda fun. I enjoyed Tomb of Elendil, with the little bait and switch gag on the final boss. I think a good group can make boring quests more fun, while a so-so group can really lower the enjoyment level of a good quest (TTB being a good example...obviously I've been in some pretty not-so-great groups so far and had a cruddy time, while other times it's been a good group and I've had fun even though we lost. repeatedly. Now that I'm in the 40's, it may be a little easier, dunno)

Theif Taker's Bane. Let me see if I can rehash it for everyone. Early morning, someone's LF1M for TTB, and I'm thinking cool, let's knock this out. I join the group...3 hunters, one minstrel, and another burglar. I think to myself, okay, we can swing this. Now one hunter was named something like HelloKitty and one named Lunchbox...I start to sweat it alittle. Come to find out Lunchbox was the only other person in group who spoke english. Also mind you, one of us was level 40, everyone else was like 35-38. Through me telling them where to go we made it to the fifth wave and lost. I dunno how many waves there are because I haven't tried it since.
Anyways, my learning experience from it was Lunchbox is a fine hunter. If you're on Meneldor, group with him, he's a good guy.
As for my favorite quest, I'd have to say it was Retaking Weathertop. We make it to the first closed gate. No one knows what to do. Osy uploads the SuperMario mod and jumps around the rocks and finds a way in. After like 15 minutes everyone else finally makes it past the gate. As soon as we do, whatever event it is that opens the gate finally triggers and the gate opens.
Another one was that one with the Hillman Female Plaugebearererer type person up by Esteldin. I think I was like level 32 and got suckered into a group for it. The plan, the people that can actually hit stuff kills all the adds and I will keep her busy. I pull her with a riddle that fails miserably, they start to work on the adds. I'm missing her with attacks but getting lucky to stun her or break her spells when she tries to cast them. The group wipes, I pop hide in plain sight to break aggro and the adds killing me and pop back out still keeping her away from the clown tent of doom. They run all the way back and finally beat her. I think I held her at bey for 16.5 minutes, it was stupid but someone had kept count because they thought for sure I would die.
I think Khaz has it that the group really makes the quest. Otherwise I only enjoy it when Osy does something really outlandish and it pays off. He don't die very easy I can tell ya that.

reminds me of something that happened this afternoon - I was wandering around Nan Toraeth in N. Trollshaws when I get a msg about a quest I'd long forgotten having in my log - Callenthon and Mallorval or something like that. I use the whistle as intended, then go find mallorval, who I had seen earlier in some ruins while I was farming Leb wood, so I go back to his location and the "find" quest turns into a "defend" quest that has that lovely fellowship icon, but there I am by myself, having to keep some dumb bird alive and getting the gooneygoogoo "adds appear from nowhere" routine, and I somehow manage to kill them off, all whites or dark blues, and finish the quest all Heroes-like: "Save the bird, save the quest" despite it being down to 33 morale and me ending up @ like 1-oh-something. Man that was really worth 20s
